Advice for culturally appropriate food for Food Banks

Came across this in another forum and thought it’d be useful to post it here also.

"Please see this Food Power case study on the work of the Interfaith Food Justice Network in Glasgow in engaging diverse groups and offering food in an inclusive way (I appreciate not as specific as your question): https://www.sustainweb.org/resources/files/reports/Glasgow_AllianceDev_12monthSnapshot.pdf

If they have time, I think it would be helpful for to talk to Southwark and Sufra food banks, as well as Granville Community Kitchen in London; they are three examples based in diverse parts of the city:

https://www.sufra-nwlondon.org.uk/ and https://www.pecan.org.uk/southwark-foodbank and https://granvillecommunitykitchen.wordpress.com/

And the issue is something that is picked up in Southwark’s food poverty action plan see the link here: https://www.sustainweb.org/foodpoverty/actionplans/

I would be very grateful if you or others could share any further information about this with Food Power – whether in relation to food aid or other local responses to food poverty, including advice and support on the root causes.

Best wishes
